Mentoring and Guidance for Early Career Teachers

Are you…

New to teaching?

Loving the job, but drowning under your workload?

Not sure what to do, or where to start?

Finding that it’s not all it was promised to be?

Struggling to keep up with everything that’s expected of you?

We are here for you.

New teachers can find the first few years tough.

Nearly 13% of early career teachers leave teaching just one year after qualifying. Fast forward to five years, and that figure increased to 31%.

We believe teachers are being let down - with little support in place to guide them through their first steps into their new career. Any support offered is usually tainted with internal politics and is questionably confidential.

We believe ECTs should be given unbiased support, from experienced and knowledgeable educators who remember what it is like to walk in their shoes.

We are The Educator’s Ally, and we’re here to help.

We provide impartial advice and support in a safe space where your situation is kept completely confidential.

What we do

  • Our peer support circles involve daily interactions, weekly guidance and monthly video calls so peers can connect, share experiences, ask questions and seek advice in a confidential, supportive and collaborative environment.
